"My name is Shubham Lakhera and I am an Illustrator and I have been illustrating children's book for the last 3 years. I have completed my graduation (BFA) in 2018. I have been working on more than 30 books till now, publishers like Duckbill, tulika books, NCERT, room to deal child fund India, Eklavya and children's magazine. I like imaginary things, so my most of the illustration are larger than life. My inspirations are Raja Ravi Verma and western illustrators.

My process of working is to first know exactly what is the book about, we go through the storyline and I start working on illustrations (which is completely my zone). Once the illustrations are ready they are send for test and manual. And finally they are printed. It is the best feeling to see my work on the books, it's what I always wanted to do.

My advice to other artists will be to believe in what they do and to trust their journey without comparing to other artists. Always be honest with your work. The journey will be difficult but remember it's not impossible and success will definitely follow." - Shubham Lakhera
