What better way to welcome spring by hosting a watercolour contest with Winsor & Newton? Artists had to paint to their strengths using Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour paints. The winners would get swag from them worth Rs10000 and Rs5000 respectively!
So after a looooong lockdown, we have our 2 winners!
Our Winner for #ALxWN Contest: @kudalayya
We picked @kudalayya’s breathtaking painting because of the high level of detailing he achieved with multiple layers of watercolours. The drama of the setting is heightened with a good understanding of values and tones.
Our Runner-up for #ALxWN Contest: @theblackbrush.art
We picked @theblackbrush.art sketchbook page because she's managed to pack in so much depth in such a small space, using different watercolor techniques to reflect landscape. Her Instagram feed is worth following for some cute illustrations, pen and ink, loose floral and amazing landscapes.
We had more than 200 entries and it was extremely difficult for us to pick a Winner and Runner-up. Each participant has done excellent work with Winsor and Newton Professional Watercolours. Check out all the entries here.
